I have now made a smaller link it has solved the leverage/spring problem, but now the cable is rubbing against each other and is still not moving smoothly.

Strong lines Arches are inherently strong their shape makes it possible to span wider areas with less supports and less material I want to explore its strength to find curves that can be used to make jewellery with strong lines.
